My Boyfriend Came Back From the War

My Boyfriend Came Back From the War is a piece of browser based art that was created by a Russian artist, Olia Lialina. It is one of the first engaging hypertext narratives. The interaction is made when the user has to click on the images and texts to read the story. This net art project is considered to be a classic as many artists have remixed and changed this.

Cyberflesh Girlmonster

Cyberflesh Girlmonster was created in 1995 by Linda Dement it is a piece of browser based hypertext art. The project started at the Adelaide Festival where 30 women donated their body parts by scanning their flesh and digitally recording the sound. These were then created, animated and made interactive.

As you can see from the video above, as the viewer clicks on the images, words could be seen or heard, other images appeared or a digital video could be played.
